Dominant Llanishen Extend
Lead at the Summit
Llanishen FC 6–0 K&H Forever Young FC
Isla-Alexander 3G Pitch | 19:00 KO
A huge night under the lights at the Isla-Alexander 3G Pitch saw Llanishen FC deliver a commanding performance against K&H Forever Young FC in what was billed as a top-of-the-table clash.
Llanishen came into the fixture sitting 1st in the league, while K&H — despite being 7th — had games in hand, making this an important marker for both sides. The only previous meeting this season came in the CCFL Super Cup semi-final back in August, where K&H edged a 3-2 win. This time, however, it was a completely different story.
Fast Start, Relentless Pressure
Llanishen wasted no time asserting themselves. Within the opening minute, S. Voyce found himself in front of goal but couldn’t apply the finishing touch. K&H responded with a quick counter, expertly dealt with by captain F. Jenkins.
The early stages set the tone — Llanishen pressing high, forcing errors, and creating chances. K. Eddy was unlucky to be flagged offside after capitalising on defensive hesitation, while dangerous free-kick opportunities followed in quick succession.
J. Hughes came agonisingly close midway through the half, curling an effort over the wall that crashed off the crossbar.
Despite dominating possession and territory, the breakthrough took until the 28th minute.
⚽ Jenkins Breaks the Deadlock (28’)
A free-kick delivered by C. Corsi found the head of captain F. Jenkins at the back post — and he made no mistake.
1–0 Llanishen.
K&H briefly thought they had equalised earlier in the half, but an offside flag spared Llanishen. The visitors’ frustrations grew, culminating in a straight red card for their number 22 just before half time following dissent towards the assistant referee.
Half Time: 1–0
A dominant display — just missing the clinical edge.
Second Half Surge
Llanishen started the second half with intent. J. Hughes danced past three players and set up J. Driscoll, whose effort cannoned off the post.
The pressure finally told in the 56th minute.
⚽ Corsi Doubles the Lead (56’)
After a flurry inside the box — including a post from S. Webber — the ball fell to C. Corsi. His first strike was parried, but he reacted quickest to fire home at the second attempt.
2–0 Llanishen.
Four minutes later, it was three.
⚽ Eddy Adds the Third (60’)
A perfectly weighted through ball released K. Eddy, who outpaced the defender and finished emphatically from the edge of the area. K&H appealed for offside, but their own captain had played him on.
3–0 Llanishen.
From there, Llanishen were in complete control — pressing relentlessly and moving the ball with confidence.
Ruthless Finale
Substitutions brought fresh energy, and the goals continued to flow.
⚽ T. Rye Makes it Four (85’)
After excellent build-up involving C. Covill and C. Corsi, the ball found T. Rye, who made no mistake from close range.
4–0.
⚽ Corsi Again (91’)
A clinical strike from outside the box nestled into the bottom corner.
5–0.
⚽ Rye Seals It (93’)
In stoppage time, neat link-up play saw T. Rye grab his second of the night to cap a sensational performance.
6–0.
