2XI Hit Double Figures
in Dominant Display

Aberystwyth Exiles FC Reserves 2–10 Llanishen FC 2XI

Cardiff University Sports Fields | 14:00 KO

Llanishen FC 2XI delivered an emphatic attacking display away from home, hitting double figures in a dominant 10–2 victory over Aberystwyth Exiles FC Reserves at the Cardiff University Sports Fields.

Having won the reverse fixture 3–1 back in September, Llanishen arrived sitting top of the league and full of confidence. Aber, still searching for their first win of the season at the foot of the table, were immediately put under intense pressure from kick-off.

Fast Start Sets the Tone

Aber kicked off, but Llanishen quickly took control of possession. Early warning signs came through G. Jones, who drove past multiple defenders before feeding E. Bridgeman, whose strike found the side netting.

The breakthrough arrived in the 8th minute.

Second Half Control

With a five-goal cushion, Llanishen remained composed, though Aber showed more intent early in the half and reduced the deficit in the 58th minute via a clever backheel from a free kick.

Despite that brief resurgence, Llanishen’s attacking quality proved too strong.

Substitutions brought fresh energy, and the goals resumed.
